WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University swimming and diving team closed the Northeast-10 Conference Championships Sunday evening at the WPI Sports & Recreation Center, as the Women's team finished fifth, while the men took seventh.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Elizabeth Galicki began the Sunday finals session with a seventh-place finish in the 200 yd Backstroke (2:11.06), before
Jenna Swist took eighth in the 100 yd Freestyle (53.70).
Sophia Lake continued her success in the Breaststroke, as she took fifth in the 200 (2:27.47). On the men's side,
Sean Leary finished tenth in the 200 yd Butterfly (2:00.56).
To close out the meet, the women's 400 yd Freestyle relay took fifth, as the grouping of
Sophia Lake, Galicki,
Caroline McKay, and Swist finished at 3:37.57. The men's squad of
Kenny Guan,
Liam Goodlett,
Chris Fahlman, and Ray Caushaj took sixth (3:16.24).
Sean Leary became the first Assumption men's swimmer to be honored with the NE10's Elite 24 Award the highest cumulative GPA, participating at the finals site.
