BOSTON, Mass. – The Assumption University men's indoor track and field team sits in fourth place after the first day of the 2025 Northeast-10 Conference Championships at the Track at New Balance, while the women's side sits seventh.
MEN'S DAY ONE RESULTS | WOMEN'S DAY ONE RESULTS
Preliminaries
Katrina Sullivan began the day qualifying in the women's 60 hurdles (8.88) before
Athena Comeau finished second in the women's 60 prelims (7.86), while
Joel Spaulding (7.01) and
Jared Gibbons (6.99) made it to the finals in the men's 60 prelims.
Camille Lopez finished fourth in the women's 400 (58.14), while
DJ Chaudhry (50.11) qualified on the men's side. In the men's 800,
Colby Medeiros won the prelim (1:56.67), while Comeau (25.62) and Lopez (25.73) both qualified in the women's 200.
In the women's 4000 medley relay, the combination of
Camryn Sprague,
Michaella Namiotka,
Grace Reilly, and
Rose Connolly qualified for the finals with a fifth-place finish (13:31.46). The men's squad also finished fifth as
Brendan Morin,
Kenneth Pyburn,
Gavin Gareri, and Timothy Curtin tripped the timer at 10:48.67).
Finals
Ava Benard was the first Greyhound to medal, who finished second in the women's pole vault (2.95M | 9' 8").
Avery Lemieux took fifth in the men's weight throw (15.22m | 49' 11.75"), while
Treyvion Gilbert took eighth in the men's long jump (6.45m | 21' 2")
