WEST CALDWELL, NJ. – The Assumption University men's lacrosse team saw 16 players record a point as the Greyhounds cruised to a 27-2 win at Caldwell University Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption started fast, as they netted four goals in the opening five minutes of the contest, with
Brady McNulty striking for a pair.
Ben McHugh continued his excellent start of his freshman campaign with two goals before the end of the opening quarter, extending the Greyhounds' advantage to 7-0. The Assumption offensive onslaught continued into the second quarter, as the Hounds outshot the hosts 17-5, which included nine goals in the frame.
The Hounds continued to score with ease in the third quarter, as they extended their lead to 23-0, but Nicco Fasolli scored with 1:30 remaining in the frame to put the hosts on the board. Assumption played out the stretch and would pot four more goals for a 27-2 final score.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Shane Corcoran, Colin Malone, and Brady McCormack combined for ten saves in the win.
- Assumption outshot Caldwell 70-23 while also winning 24-of-31 faceoffs, with Connor Stack winning 21-of-26.
- Ben McHugh recorded eight goals and nine points in the win, which is the most by a Greyhound since Travis Reid recorded 13 goals and 22 points. The eight goals is the most by an NE10 player since Eamon Hall scored eight at Adelphi on March 16, 2024.
- Assumption now leads the all-time series 2-0.
