ROCHESTER, NY. – The Assumption University men's lacrosse team used a strong second half as they rallied past Roberts Wesleyan University, 7-4, to improve to 3-0 for the first time since 2018, Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After a slow start by Assumption, where they trailed 3-1 entering the intermission, with
Cameron Theriault scoring the lone goal, the Greyhounds came out of the second half on the attack. The Hounds outshot Roberts Wesleyan 20-1, as they outscored the hosts 6-0 in the frame, with
Brian Shortt and
Boomer Staunton netting a pair, while
Ben McHugh and
Brady McNulty had one.
The Redhawks attempted to come back in the fourth, but
Shane Corcoran and the Assumption defense only surrendered one goal in the final frame.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Corcoran improves to 3-0 between the pipes for the Greyhounds, as he recorded eight saves.
- Assumption now leads the all-time series 3-0.
