WALTHAM, Mass. – The Assumption University baseball team fell to Bentley University in a pair of two low-scoring contests Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One Score: Bentley University 4, Assumption University 3
Game One started as a pitchers dual between Assumption's
Evan McCarthy and Bentley's Zach Eigenbrod, retiring their opposing lineups for the first few innings before the Falcons got on the board in the top of the fourth with a two-out single to left field to drive in one.
The Greyhounds got on the board late, as they struck for three runs in the bottom of the seventh, with
Jack Barry and
Cody Smith recording RBI doubles, before Smith scored on a wild pitch to go up 3-1. Bentley would not go quietly, as they scored three runs in the top of the eighth to take the game 4-3.
McCarthy got the start, allowing four hits and one earned run while striking out five.
Game Two Score: Bentley University 5, Assumption University 2
Jack Barry put Assumption on the board early, as he drove in
Owen Podolec with an RBI single to right field. Bentley responded with three runs in the top of the third before Barry struck again with a solo home run, cutting the deficit to 3-2.
The Falcons added insurance runs in both the fourth and the fifth inning
