WALTHAM, Mass.—The No. 6 seeded Assumption University women's basketball fell to top-seeded Bentley University 64-54 in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship Sunday afternoon in the Dana Center on the campus of Bentley University.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Assumption started fast, as
Kaijhe Hall and
Marina Callahan combined for 12 of 20 points in the opening quarter. The Greyhounds shot 64.3 percent (9-of-14) in the first while holding Bentley to just 5-of-14 shooting and 13 points. The Falcons flipped the script in the second quarter as they shot 50 percent, with Maggie Whitmore leading the charge with seven points, and the hosts outscored Assumption 17-6 to go up 30-26 entering the half.
Coming out of the break,
Molly Stokes and Callahan combined for 13 of 18 Greyhound points to cut the deficit to just one point (45-44) after outscoring Bentley 18-15 in the frame. Despite a late push by Assumption and six points by Hall, the Hounds would fall to the top-seeded Falcons 64-54.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Kaijhe Hall led the game in both points (16) and rebounds (11) for her sixth double-double of the year.
- Marina Callahan had a near-double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds.
- Bentley had the slight edge in rebounds (31-30), while Assumption had 14 assists compared to nine for the hosts.
- Marina Callahan and Kajihe Hall were named to the All-Tournament team.
- Teagan Kamm earned the NE10 Elite 24 Award for the highest cumulative GPA, participating at the finals site.
- Bentley leads the all-time series 82-13.
