Franklin Pierce scored first in the loudest possible way: a grand slam shot by Michael Quiros broke the game wide open. The Ravens tacked on another run in the inning to lead 5-0 after three innings. With one down in the top of the fourth, Chris Klein left the yard with a solo homer to put Assumption on the board. The Greyhounds tied the game with two runs in the eighth. Christopher Manzo followed up with an RBI ground-rule double. The Blue and White found late momentum in the ninth inning, scoring a pair of runs and reloading the bases. However, the Ravens ultimately closed out the win.

Sal Grinstead put together a two-hit day, going 2-3 with a double and an RBI single to right field.
Jack Barry and Christopher Manzo hit RBI doubles. Each went 1-3 at the plate in game one.
Chris Klein's home run was his fourth of the season.

Kiobel Lugo, the home run leader in the NE10, blasted his 13th of the season to put Franklin Pierce ahead 1-0 after the first inning. An error cost the Hounds another run in the bottom of the third to make it 2-0 Ravens. Assumption came alive in the fourth inning when Chris Klein homered for the second straight game. This time, Klein's home run plated three runs, giving the Greyhounds their first lead of the doubleheader, 3-2.
