COLCHESTER, VT. – The Assumption University men's lacrosse team improved to 9-2, as the Greyhounds rallied to defeat Saint Michael's College 9-5 in Northeast-10 Conference action on Saturday evening at Christopher Duffy Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Saint Michael's College started fast, scoring the first three goals of the game in the opening 8:07 of the first quarter.
Ryan Bogar halted the Purple Knights' run with his 12
th goal of the season at 3:12 of the opening frame. The Greyhounds saw their offensive stride come in the middle two frames, as they outscored the hosts 6-0 in the second and third quarters, with
Ben McHugh,
Jackson Furr, Brian Short,
Cameron Theriault, and
Brady McNulty (twice) finding the back of the cage.
Theriault and Bogar scored in the early minutes of the fourth quarter, extending the Assumption lead to six (9-3). Saint Michael's would eventually snap a 45:09 scoreless stretch with two goals in the final 6:43, but the Greyhounds' defense would stiffen and hold on for a crucial 9-5 Northeast-10 Conference win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Shane Corcoran logged his third straight 10+ save performance and seventh of the year.
- Assumption outshot Saint Michael's 44-25 while also winning 10-of-18 faceoffs.
- This is the sixth time this year that the Greyhounds' defense has allowed five goals or less.
- With the win today, Head Coach Guy Bourdon becomes the all-time winningest coach in Assumption men's lacrosse program history.
