SHREWSBURY, Mass. – The Assumption University women's rowing team hosted their first duel of the spring season as the Greyhounds welcomed Bryant University, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, and Mount Holyoke College to Lake Quinsigamond.
In their first action of the spring season, the Greyhounds had to deal with a 10mph headwind with gusts ranging between 16 and 18 mph; Assumption took second in the varsity four. The combination of
Carly Duval,
Bella Perryman, Katie Ickes,
Alisia Cacciola, and
Riley Molongoski gave Division I Bryant a run for its money. The Hounds crossed the finish line in 9:21.44, 15 seconds behind the Bulldogs and 33 seconds ahead of Mass Maritime.
The Greyhounds are back in action during the April 12
th weekend as the Hounds head to New Jersey to compete in the Knecht Cup Regatta.
