MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Assumption University men's soccer team was voted to finish third in the Northeast 10 Conference Men's Soccer Coaches' Poll released Wednesday afternoon.
Assumption received 18 points for ninth place.
Head coach Tom Heimreid enters his second year with the Greyhounds after a 3-9-4 record in 2024, going 0-7-2 in NE10 action.
The Greyhounds return their lone all-conference selection in
Emmanuel Tamen, while also bringing back three of their top four scorers from last season (Coldy Holbert,
Isac Williamson, and Jorgo Karmelo).
Southern New Hampshire (81) took the top spot, while Franklin Pierce (72) and Adelphi (65) represent the top three teams. Southern Connecticut (55) was selected fourth, Bentley (52) in fifth, American International (35), and Saint Michael's (35) were tied for sixth. Saint Anselm (25) was voted to finish eighth, while Pace (12) rounded out the poll in tenth.
The Greyhounds will open the 2025 campaign at home, as they will host the College of Staten Island on Thursday, Sept. 4, at 4:00 pm.
