COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Assumption University field hockey team had four players named to the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II Watchlist, announced Thursday afternoon.

NFHCA Watchlist

This list is intended to showcase those field hockey student-athletes with the strongest potential for consideration to the current year's NFHCA All-Region and All-American teams. To be nominated for the 2025 NFHCA Watchlist, student-athletes must have been previously recognized for their outstanding field hockey abilities within the past two years (NFHCA All-Region, NFHCA All-American, All-Conference, Senior Nexus Championship selection, NCAA All-Tournament Team, and/or U.S. National or International Team roster) and nominated by their NFHCA member coach.

The Greyhounds were well represented by Julia Carbone, Paige Gillette, Jillian McSorley, and Elle Murray on the NFHCA's list of 33.

Carbone started all 22 games last year, tallying ten goals and adding five assists. She recorded two multigoal games last season, once against St. Thomas Aquinas and again in the NE10 Semifinals against Bentley in overtime. Carbone was also named to the All-Northeast 10 Conference Third Team.

Gillette played every minute of the 22 games she played for the Greyhounds this season. She went 18-4 and had a 0.94 goals-against average and an 0.806 save percentage. Her 11 shutouts this season tied a program record, earning her All-NE10 Second Team honors.

McSorley headlines an Assumption defense that held the third-best scoring defense (0.94) in the nation last season, while also having the most shutouts in Division II. She was named to the All-NE10 Third Team, while also scoring her first-career goal in overtime at Pace in early October.

Murray is the top returning scorer for the Greyhounds, as she found the cage 12 times last fall, including twice in the NE10 Championship and the NCAA First Round.

The Greyhounds will open the 2025 campaign at home, hosting West Chester on Friday, September 5, at 6:00 p.m.
