WALTHAM, Mass.– The Assumption University women's soccer team saw a pair of freshmen score, as the Greyhounds tied Bentley University 2-2 in non-conference action, Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half started slow with neither team establishing much offense. Assumption and Bentley battled back and forth, with the Greyhounds having two shots in goal and the Falcons having five shots in goal.
Kaylin Hebert had multiple jumping catches and dives, keeping the hosts off the scoreboard.
The second half started hot with a shot from Heidi Lawrence and a save from Hebert, taking a hit from Lawrence. The Greyhounds battled back with the first goal of the game from
Elizabeth Schoeneberger with a side kick to the left corner of the goal with 28:38 remaining. The Falcons bounced back with two goals from McKay Pratt and Sydney DeRoche. The Greyhounds kept up a fight and scored the final goal from
Lilina Shiers with a straight shot with only 12 seconds left in the game.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Kaylin Hebert recorded a career-high 12 saves, and the most by a Greyhound since Julia Walsh had 13 against Franklin Pierce on October 22, 2022.
- Bentley outshot Assumption 20-15, while Assumption had three of the four corner kicks.
- The Blue and White now leads the all-time series 20-10-56.
