HOW IT HAPPENED
The Blue and White dominated in the first and second sets. Assumption took the first 25-14 and improved to a 25-10 second set. Lilyanna Petrocelli and
Kaitlyn Montgomery were standouts in the front row for the Hounds. The duo combined for five blocks and a dozen points in the first two sets.
In the third set, the Chargers rallied behind a strong all-around performance from Trinity Parkin. Parkin was finding ways to score from every spot on the court to lift Dominican to their only set win. Assumption trailed by seven points in the set and brought themselves back to a late lead, but couldn't end the match there.
In the fourth and final set, the Greyhounds put their foot down. Playing with a fierceness to get that first elusive win of the season, Assumption cleaned up the final set with three aces, four blocks, and minimized their errors.
