WORCESTER, Mass.– The Assumption University field hockey team celebrated their Senior Day by piling up ten goals in Saturday's shutout win over St. Thomas Aquinas at Brian Kelly '83 Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In a 2025 season where goals have been hard to come by for the Greyhounds, they were hoping for an offensive explosion against a struggling St. Thomas team. The explosion was sparked by Ann-Sophie Olijve 12 minutes into the first quarter. Once the fire started, there was no putting it out. Shortly after Olijve's goal,
Hailey Doherty scored to put the Greyhounds up 2-0 at the end of the first quarter.
The second quarter was the best performance by the Blue and White this season. Assumption tacked on four goals with a different Greyhound scoring each time.
By the end of the contest, nine Hounds in total found the back of the net.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Daisy Stone recorded two goals to lead the offense.
- Elle Murray notched one goal, two assists on eight shots.
- Mieke Rentsch tallied three assists coming off the bench.
- The Greyhounds outshot the Spartans 48-2 in total, with 31 shots on goal compared to one for St. Thomas.
- Assumption leads the all-time series against STAC 11-0.
