WORCESTER, Mass.– The Assumption University volleyball team fell to the University of Minnesota Crookston in five sets in Andrew Laska Gymnasium on Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption started fast with an ace from
Tatiana Calderin. Minnesota slowly chipped away at the Greyhounds; however,
Madison Lupino stayed hot with six kills, keeping the team's momentum. The two teams continued to trade points. Assumption would take the opening set 25-17.
Minnesota Crookston controlled the second and third sets, winning them 25-19 and 25-18. The Golden Eagles began the four-set strong, but the Greyhounds would tie the set at 8-8. The two teams would trade points until the Hounds took a 19-16 lead following an emphatic kill by
Lily Petrocelli. The hosts would finish off and win the set 25-21 with kills from
Kaitlyn Montgomery and Lupino.
Assumption brought the heat in set five, tying up the score 8-8 with multiple rallies. Minnesota starts to creep up with points, surpassing the Greyhounds with a 14-12 score. Ultimately, the final score was 15-12, Minnesota, in set five
