MANCHESTER, N.H.— Laura Johnson-Shedd picked up a block of Anna Nelson as time expired, as the Assumption University women's basketball team picked up a 61-60 win at Saint Anselm College, in Northeast 10 Conference action, Wednesday evening.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Saint Anselm started fast, as they raced out to a 7-0 lead to begin the game, before Assumption responded with a 13-4 run to take a 13-11 lead after 10 minutes.
Emily Collins opened the second quarter with a three-pointer, pushing the Greyhounds' advantage to 16-11. The Hawks answered back with a quick 6-0 run to retake the lead (17-16).
Teagan Kamm fueled an 8-1 run to give the Hounds a 24-18 edge, but the hosts closed the first half of an 8-1 run of their own, including a Tatum Forbes layup with two seconds left, to regain the lead (26-25) at the intermission.
Assumption came out of the locker room strong, as they shot 8-of-9 from the field, which sparked a 19-8 run to take the game's lone ten-point advantage (44-34). Saint Anselm closed out the third with a 7-0 run, cutting the deficit down to three (44-41), entering the final quarter. The Greyhounds opened the final frame of regulation with back-to-back baskets by Kamm and
Thai Davis to go up seven (48-41).
The game would remain between one and two possessions for the entirety of the frame, but Forbes would eventually tie the contest at 59-59 with 33 seconds left in regulation.
Teagan Curran hit a pair of free throws to give Assumption the late lead with 11.1 seconds showing on the game clock. Forbes was fouled with under four-seconds, but only hit one of two shots from the charity stripe. The Hawks would get the ball back in the front court and inbounded it with 1.1 seconds, but
Laura Johnson-Shedd clamped down on defense and blocked an Anna Nelson jumper as time expired, securing Assumption a 61-60 road win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Teagan Kamm led the way for Assumption with a career-high 18 points and eight rebounds.
- Teagan Curran (15) and Emily Collins (11) both scored double-digit points.
- Assumption outrebounded Saint Anselm 36-32, while the two teams each scored 32 points in the paint
- The Greyhounds shot 43.6 percent from the floor, while the Hawks shot 41.4 percent from the field.
- Saint Anselm still leads the all-time series 35-26
