BOSTON, Mass.— Jake Russell scored with 37 seconds left in overtime, lifting the Assumption University men's ice hockey team over Wentworth Institute of Technology 3-2 in overtime, Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
After a scoreless first period, where Wentworth had a 12-11 edge in shots, the hosts got on the board just under the five-minute mark while shorthanded to go up 1-0. Assumption tied the game in the back-half of the second period, as
Caden Connors scored off the feed from
Nick Fall at 13:10.
The Leopards opened up the third period with a goal eight seconds in, but
Jonathan Surrette tied the game. The game would head to overtime, where
Jake Russell would score the game-winning goal with 37 seconds left in the overtime period.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Brayden Ingram recorded 37 saves in the win.
- Assumption outshot Wentworth 43-39, while also winning 35-of-68 faceoffs.
- Neither team scored on the powerplay, as the Greyhounds were 0-for-1, while the Leopards were 0-for-2.
- Wentworth leads the all-time series 13-5-2
