HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption controlled the offensive tempo from the opening whistle against Southern New Hampshire, recording 14 shots in the first quarter while holding the Penmen without an attempt. The Greyhounds broke through at 9:25 when Marta Brzoska netted her seventh goal of the season to give Assumption a 1-0 lead. Just over a minute later, Nova Rijks doubled the lead at 10:52, scoring her sixth goal of the year off an assist from Daisy Stone. Assumption continued to pressure the SNHU defense, taking a 2-0 lead into the second quarter.

The Greyhounds wasted little time extending their advantage in the second frame. Following a penalty corner, Caroline Mastergeorge found the back of the net at 20:14 for her fifth goal of the season, with Stone recording her second assist of the afternoon. Just 44 seconds later, Julia Legere added her first goal of the season at 20:58, pushing the Assumption lead to 4-0. The Greyhounds carried that four-goal advantage into halftime, having outshot Southern New Hampshire 20-1 through the opening 30 minutes.

Assumption continued its offensive pressure in the third quarter, generating eight shots and five penalty corners. Mastergeorge, Julia Carbone, Kelsey McCleary, and Stone all registered shots on goal, but SNHU goalkeeper Agustina Miranda Waigand kept the Greyhounds off the scoreboard. The Assumption defense limited the Penmen to just one shot in the period, maintaining the 4-0 advantage heading into the final quarter.
