WALTHAM, Mass.— The Assumption University women's basketball team had their four-game winning streak snapped, as the Greyhounds fell to No. 22 Bentley University 68-46, in Northeast 10 Conference action, Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
After Assumption started the game 4-2, Bentley went on an 18-6 run for the remainder of the first quarter, to take a 20-10 lead after 10 minutes of action. The Falcons continued their momentum into the second, as they pushed their advantage to 18 points, following a 15-7 run with 2:34 before the intermission. The Greyhounds would trim the halftime deficit down to 15, following a 4-1 run powered by
Madison Handrahan.
After
Maeve Moriarty powered a 5-2 run, Bentley closed out the third quarter on a 12-0 run to send the game into the fourth quarter, with the hosts leading 51-27. The Falcons continued to get stops on the defensive end, while also getting buckets on the offensive side of the court, as they saw their lead grow to 32-points (59-29) with 8:03 left in regulation. The Hounds figured it out offensively, as they closed out the game on a 19-9 run, but the run was too late, and they would fall 68-46.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Madison Handrahan had a game-high 12 points, while adding five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
- Bentley outrebounded Assumption 52-27, while the Greyhounds had seven blocks, led by Emily Collins' two.
- The Falcons shot 43.3 percent from the field, while the Hounds shot 32.7 percent.
- Bentley leads the all-time series 54-5
