WINTHROP, Mass. – The New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) recognized 175 student-athletes from its eight member institutions this week by naming them to the league's All-Academic Team.

In addition, 32 student-athletes earned Student-Athlete of the Year honors after posting perfect 4.0 grade-point averages.

To qualify for All-Academic Team recognition, student-athletes must have recorded a GPA of 3.0 or higher during both the fall and spring semesters. The Student-Athlete of the Year award is presented to the student-athlete(s) who finish with the highest GPA in the conference.

Sacred Heart paced the conference with 28 All-Academic Team selections, followed by Franklin Pierce with 25, LIU with 24, and Post with 23. Assumption placed 20 student-athletes on the team, while Saint Michael's and Stonehill each had 19 honorees, and Saint Anselm was represented by 10 student-athletes.

27 seniors concluded their careers as four-time honorees.
