WILMINGTON, Del.– The Assumption University women's soccer team continued their offensive tear through the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference with a 4-0 win at Goldey-Beacom College on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption controlled the action from the opening whistle, generating three corner kicks and several early scoring opportunities before breaking through in the 18th minute.
Rachael Geniuch opened the scoring at 17:10, finishing a feed from
Elizabeth Schoeneberger for her first goal of the season and a 1-0 Greyhound lead.
The Greyhounds continued to apply pressure and doubled their advantage at 30:09 when
Natalie Matz scored her second goal of the year off an assist from
Deirdra Picillo. Just over seven minutes later,
Abigail Greable pushed the lead to 3-0, converting a pass from
Alyanna Brown for her second goal of the season. Assumption carried the three-goal advantage into halftime after outshooting Goldey-Beacom, 10-1, in the opening 45 minutes.
Assumption remained on the attack after the break, forcing three saves over the opening 17 minutes of the second half. The Greyhounds eventually added to their advantage at 73:20, when
Zhunay Moulton found the back of the net off a feed from
Meghan Aubee for her first goal of the season, making it 4-0.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Kaylin Hebert and Emily Hickey combined for the shutout, with the duo recording one save.
- Assumption outshot Goldey-Beacom 22-3, while also taking all ten corners in the game.
- The Blue and White were whistled for 12 offside calls, while the Lightning were halted twice.
- Over the last two games, the Greyhounds have outscored their CACC counterpart 11-0, while also outshooting them 50-4
- This is the first all-time meeting between the two squads.
