WORCESTER, Mass. – Three Assumption University student-athletes earned Northeast 10 Conference weekly honors, as
Kaiden Brochu was named as the NE10 Football Rookie of the Week,
Carolyn Durand was the Field Hockey Goalkeeper of the Week, and
Lilina Shiers took home the Women's Soccer Player of the Week, as announced Monday afternoon.
Football Rookie of the Week
Kaiden Brochu, Assumption
Sophomore | Running Back | Dudley, Mass.
Brochu had five carries for 28 yards (5.6 yards per rush) and a touchdown in Assumption's 24-19 loss to No. 23 Frostburg State.
Field Hockey Goalkeeper of the Week
Carolyn Durand, Assumption
Senior | Goalkeeper | Canton, Mass.
In a midweek game against Caldwell, Shiers scored three goals and added two assists in the 7-0 win. Her eight points are the most by a player in the NE10 since Mia Klammer of the College of Saint Rose had nine at Saint Anselm on October 7, 2023.
Women's Soccer Player of the Week
Lilina Shiers, Assumption
Sophomore | Forward | Wales, Mass.
The first Assumption keeper not named Kylie or Paige in almost a decade, Derosier was 15 seconds away from a shutout at No. 4 East Stroudsburg, but the Greyhounds would fall in overtime; the freshman netminder recorded seven saves.
