Worcester, Mass. (October 12) -- The Assumption women's soccer team fell to Adelphi University, 2-1, in steady rain on Wednesday night. The Hounds fell to 3-8-1 on the season and 1-8-1 in the Northeast-10 with the loss while Adelphi moved to 6-5 on the season and 5-5 in the Northeast-10.

Sophomore Kelsey Imondi (Warwick, R.I./Toll Gate) scored her fifth goal of the season in the ninth minute on a pass from Molly Kessler (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton.

The Panthers answered back with goals by Sarah Cote and Emily Massiello in the 74th and 84th minutes, respectively.

Freshman goalie Rachel Edgin (Whitesboro, N.Y./Whitesboro) made four saves in the game. 

The Hounds hit the field next Saturday when they host American International. The game will begin at 6:00 p.m. in Worcester.
