Worcester, Mass. (October 15) -- The Assumption men's soccer team dropped a conference match to Merrimack on Saturday, 3-0.

The Hounds were out shot by Merrimack, 13-7, and failed to put a single shot on net, while sophomore goalie Matt Wrenn (Windham, N.H./Tilton School) made six saves on the day.

Victor Plaza started the scoring for the Warriors in the 24th minute, and Francis Mulkern and Robbie Sabadoz added goals for the final tally.

The Hounds dropped to 2-7-1 with the loss and 2-6-1 in the Northeast-10, while Merrimack improved to 7-5-2 and 5-4 in the conference.

Assumption will play host to New Haven on Wednesday, October 19th. The match will begin at 7:00 p.m.
