Albany, N.Y. (September 17) -- Carmelina Puopolo tallied a pair of goals to lead No. 9 ranked Saint Rose as Assumption dropped a 5-0 final to the nationally-ranked Golden Knights in Northeast-10 Conference action on Saturday afternoon in Albany, N.Y.

The Golden Knights got on the board just 4:40 in on a Puopolo score and made it a 2-0 score just seven minutes later. After going to the half at 2-0, three different Golden Knights found the back of the net in the second half to account for the 5-0 final. For the game, Saint Rose outshot the Greyhounds by a 26-0 margin with 13 shots in each half.

Rachel Edgin (Whitesboro, N.Y./Whitesboro) and Allison Bruder (Sandy, Utah/Juan Diego Catholic) split time in net for the Greyhounds, combining for 12 saves in the defeat.

Assumption falls to 2-3-1 overall with the loss, including 0-3-1 in Northeast-10 play. With the win, Saint Rose now sits at 6-0-1 overall and 4-0-1 in the league. The Greyhounds are back in action on Tuesday, September 20th as the team hosts Le Moyne for a 3:30 p.m. start.
