Lowell, Mass. (September 25) -- On Sunday afternoon, the Assumption field hockey team fell by a 10-0 final at No. 4 ranked UMass Lowell in Northeast-10 Conference play. Rachel McCarthy led the River Hawks with four goals and one assist in the victory.

Kristen Manchester (East Sandwich, Mass./Sandwich) made 18 saves for the Hounds in net in the start, while Heather Philbrick (Kennebunkport, Maine/Kennebunk) turned aside three shots.

Assumption falls to 1-7 overall and 1-3 in the league and returns to action on Wednesday night to host Merrimack at 7 p.m.
