Worcester, Mass. (January 14) -- Sophomore goaltender Bobby Bowden (Springfield, Mass./Williston-Northampton) turned away 39-of-40 shots he faced to pick up his fourth victory of the season in a rematch against Suffolk at the Buffone Arena on Saturday evening.

The Ice Dogs started the scoring in the first period on a power play goal by Kevin Glanzman (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa), assisted by Kyle Zobler at the 9:27 mark of the first period, then Ross White (Uxbridge, Mass./Uxbridge) added a shorthanded goal at the 17:30 mark to give Assumption a 2-0 lead after one period. Nick Mattiello (Johnston, R.I./Bishop Hendricken) assisted the shorthanded marker.

Suffolk cut the lead to one when Andrew Wein scored a goal for the Rams at the 2:56 mark of the second period.

Senior forward Taylor Larsen (Blackstone, Mass./Worcester Academy) added his seventh goal of the season, assisted by Ben Kuzma (East Haven, Conn./Worcester Academy) and Zobler, to extend the lead to 3-1.

Joe Fimiani (Arlington, Mass./Arlington) added his second goal of the season, assisted by Larsen and Ryan Sargent (Barnstead, N.H./Prospect Mountain) for the final margin. Each team went 1-for-5 on the power play.

Assumption returns to .500 at 7-7-1, while Suffolk drops to 2-11-0 and continues an 11 game skid.
