North Andover, Mass. (October 13) -- The Assumption College men's soccer team lost a 1-0 decision to Merrimack College at Merrimack on Saturday afternoon.

Merrimack capitalized off a corner kick for the lone goal of the afternoon at the 51:14 mark in the game. Ronald Ried scored his first goal of the season on a header for the game-winning goal.

Freshman Dana King (Windham, Maine/Windham) made two saves in the loss, while Jose Silva made one save in the shutout victory.
Assumption falls to 3-7-1 overall and 2-6-1 in Northeast-10 Conference play, while Merrimack improves to 9-2-1 and 7-2-0 in league play.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at New Haven. The match will begin at 3:30 p.m.
