Syracuse, N.Y. (October 2) -- The Assumption College women's soccer team played to a 2-2 tie against Le Moyne College on Tuesday afternoon. The Greyhounds move to 2-5-3 with the tie, and 2-3-3 in Northeast-10 Conference play, while Le Moyne moves to 2-4-4 overall and 0-4-4 in league play.

Assumption keeper Allison Bruder (Sandy, Utah/Juan Diego Catholic) made four saves in the tie.

Assumption fell behind 2-0 in the first 29 minutes of the game, as Le Moyne struck with goals in the fifth and 29th minutes, but the Greyhounds found a way to claw back into the game.

Senior Nicole Savi (Dedham, Mass./Dedham) got the scoring started at the 31:39 mark for the Greyhounds, finding the back of the net off a cross by fellow senior Caitlin Sewell (Portsmouth, R.I. / Portsmouth), who recorded her first assist of the season.

With the score 2-1 at halftime, Assumption knotted the game up as Molly Kessler (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton) beat the Dolphin keeper off a pass up the middle by junior Andrea Bates (Holden, Mass./Wachusett).

The Greyhounds return to action on Oct. 6 as Assumption will take on Stonehill College. The match will begin at 12 p.m. in Easton, Mass.
