Boston, Mass. (November 3) -- The Assumption College ice hockey team dropped a 5-2 final to Suffolk University on Saturday night at the Walter Brown Arena.

Nick Mattiello (Johnston, R.I. / Bishop Hendricken) and Alex Erban (Attleboro, Mass. / Mount Saint Charles) scored goals in the loss for the Greyhounds, as the team falls to 1-3 on the season. Suffolk University improves to 1-0 on the season with the win.

The Greyhounds trailed 2-0 after one period and 3-0 midway through the second period, before Erban broke the scoring drought for Assumption.

Mattiello scored at the 12:12 mark in the second period to cut the lead to one at 3-2 before Suffolk scored twice in the third period for the 5-2 win.

The Greyhounds return to action on Nov. 7th at the Buffone Arena in Worcester, Mass. to take on Westfield State. The puck drops at 6:35 p.m.
