Queens, N.Y. (September 10) -- The Assumption College women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 final in non-conference play against Queens College on Monday afternoon.

Assumption out shot Queens College 3-1 in the first half, but the score remained tied after 45 minutes.

Queens struck first at the 63:59 mark in the game, when Lorena Russi beat Assumption keeper Allison Bruder (Sandy, Utah/Juan Diego Catholic). Bruder made four saves in the loss.

Overall, the teams each attempted five shots, while Assumption attempted eight corners to Queens College's five.

The Greyhounds fall to 0-3 overall, while holding an 0-1 record in league play. Assumption will return to play on Tuesday, Sept. 12 as the team plays host to The University of New Haven. The match will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Multi-Sport Stadium.
