Worcester, Mass. (September 18) -- The Assumption College women's soccer team played Pace University to a 2-2 tie on Tuesday afternoon at the Multi-Sport Stadium. 

The Greyhounds struck first as Nicole Savi (Dedham, Mass./Dedham) beat the Pace keeper deep in the box, as the Greyhounds took a 1-0 lead.

Pace answered back with two goals in a four-minute span, starting with a goal at the 14:48 mark in the game.

Assumption equalized the game early in the second second half as Mary Hilliger (Lancaster, Mass. / Nashoba) found the back of the net off a rebound to tie the score.

The two teams battled out the second half, but neither team could break through and the game concluded in a 2-2 tie.

Assumption moves to 2-3-1 on the season and 2-1-1 in Northeast-10 Conference play, while Pace is now 2-2-3 on the season and 2-1-1 in league play.

The Greyhounds return to action on Saturday, Sept. 22 as the team travels to UMass Lowell to take on the River Hawks. The match will begin at 1:00 p.m. in Lowell.
