Worcester, Mass. (September 29) -- The Assumption College women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Southern New Hampshire University on Saturday evening.

The lone goal came at the 11:51 mark in the game when Lexxi Carroll beat the Assumption keeper, Allison Bruder (Sandy, Utah / Juan Diego Catholic) for the Penmen goal. Bruder made two saves in the loss.

Senior Molly Kessler (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton) had a team-high three shots, including one on goal, while Andrea Bates (Holden, Mass./Wachusett) and Siobhan Brady (Warwick, N.Y. / Warwick Valley) each had a shot on goal.

The Greyhounds fall to 2-5-2 overall and 2-3-2 in Northeast-10 Conference play, while the Penmen improve to 6-3-1 and 4-3-1 in league play.

Assumption will return to action on Oct. 2nd against Le Moyne College. The match will begin at 4:00 p.m. in Syracuse, N.Y.
