Worcester, Mass. (November 9) -- The #1 seeded Assumption College women's soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss in the 2014 Northeast-10 Conference Championship match on Sunday afternoon to the second seeded Saint Rose Golden Knights at the Multi-Sport Stadium. Junior Paige Radomski (Kingston, Mass. / Silver Lake Regional) and freshman Amanda Arnold (Dayton, Maine / Thornton Academy) were named to the 2014 NE-10 All-Championship team for their extraordinary efforts throughout the tournament. 

With their ranking of third in the NCAA East Region, the Greyhounds will look to earn a bid into the 2014 NCAA Championship. The NCAA Championship field will be announced Monday night at 7 p.m. on NCAA.com.

Saint Rose completes their NE-10 Championship run with an 18-1-2 overall record while the Hounds post a 15-4-1 mark.

After a grueling 1-0 overtime loss for the Hounds against the Golden Knights earlier this season, Saint Rose once again got on the score board first on Sunday. Saint Rose's Jennifer Busk fired a placed kick from the right side into the box, finding Jourdan Thompson who followed up with the tap in to put Saint Rose up by one in the 19th minute.

Following the goal, the Hounds earned a corner kick opportunity, taken by NE-10 All-Rookie selection Nikki Sloan (Stow, Mass. / Hudson). Sloan sent the ball into the box where senior Kelsey Imondi (Warwick, R.I. / Toll Gate) threatened to tie the score, launching a shot that finished just high of the net.

Imondi's shot was one of just five in the first half, compared to 11 for the Golden Knights. 

In the second period, Saint Rose continued to hold the advantage on the offensive front, tallying the second goal of the game in the 49th minute. A Golden Knight corner kick sent the ball into the box where it was batted around by the squads until Michaela Phillips was able to find the back of the net for the 2-0 lead. 

Just over ten minutes later, the Golden Knights tallied the third and final goal of the match to clinch the victory.

Radomski nearly avoided the shutout at the 67:44 mark. After beating out Golden Knight defenders, the junior lined up in front of the box and blasted a shot toward the net. The shot, Radomski's only shot on goal for the day, was collected by Saint Rose goalie Ashley Homer.

Assumption tallied five shots on goal compared to seven for the Golden Knights. Imondi notched five shots on the day, three on goal, to lead the Hound offense. 

Defensively, senior Rachel Edgin (Whitesboro, N.Y. / Whitesboro) collected four saves in her 90 minutes between the posts. 

Following the contest, the Greyhounds were presented with the 2014 Northeast-10 Conference Runner-up trophy, accepted by captains Imondi and Lindsey Miller (Hanover, Mass. / Hanover), while the Golden Knights accepted the championship trophy. 

In addition to the team awards, five members of the two squads were honored on the 2014 Northeast-10 Women's Soccer All-Championship team including Radomski and Arnold, along with Jourdan Thompson, Carmelina Puopolo and Machaela Phillips of Saint Rose.
