HOW IT HAPPENED:
-Bentley took a quick 1-0 lead just 1:14 into the game when the Falcons' Christine Hoynack chipped the ball in from six yards following a blocked shot.
-At 29:26, senior Paige Radomski (Kingston, Mass. / Silver Lake Regional) lined up for a corner kick that managed to bounce free in front of the net. Freshman Jessica FitzGerald (Uxbridge, Mass. / Uxbridge) fired the loose ball in past the near post for the equalizer, 1-1, at 29:35.
-Assumption took the lead just 50 seconds later when Villamaire surprised the Falcon defense with a quick turnaround, 2-1 Hounds.
-The Hounds held onto the advantage for much of the second period, but Bentley tied the score again on a goal by Ana Tantum in the 68th minute. Tantum shot from the left wing near the post under a diving Emily Kuzma (East Haven, Conn. / East Haven) in goal.
-Ninty minutes of regulation play resulted in a 2-2 score and the squads went into overtime. With just one minute left in overtime, Radomski attempted another corner kick, but an Assumption foul tourned the ball over and the squads went into double OT.
