WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University men's ice hockey team revealed its 2022-23 schedule Tuesday afternoon. The Greyhounds open the season at their home rink, as they will take on Worcester State University in the opening round of the Woo Cup, on Friday, October 28th at 3:40 pm.

The Hounds are looking to continue their success in the tail end of the season, as they won their final five games, including a 4-3 win over Post in the Northeast-10 Championship game. Head Coach Michael Looney will look to incorporate 11 freshmen into his team of 22 returners.
After dropping the puck for the first time in the opening game of the Woo Cup, the Greyhounds will take on either Anna Maria or Nichols on Sunday, Oct. 30. Following the first weekend, Assumption jumps straight into NE10 action as they host Franklin Pierce (Nov. 4-5), before heading on the road to take on Saint Anselm (Nov. 11-12), and Post (Nov. 18).
The Blue and White will return home to the Worcester Ice Center as they host LIU (Nov. 19) and Fitchburg State (Nov. 22). Assumption will follow up two games at home, with two games down in Pennsylvania, as they take on Neumann (Nov. 26-27). The Greyhounds will close out the 2022 portion of their schedule at home as they host Saint Michael's (Dec. 2-3) and Post (Dec. 10).
Assumption rings in the New Year down in Connecticut as they take on Connecticut College (Jan. 2) before heading back to Worcester to host Westfield State (Jan. 5) and Stonehill (Jan. 10). The Greyhounds will head back into NE10 action, as they travel to Southern New Hampshire (Jan. 13-14), before hosting Saint Anselm (Jan. 20-21). AU wraps up January on the road as they take on Franklin Pierce (Jan. 27-28).
The Greyhounds will wrap up the regular season with seven of their final nine games at home, as they will host Post (Feb. 3-4), Anna Maria (Feb. 7), and Southern New Hampshire (Feb. 17-18), while they will take on Saint Michael's on the road (Feb. 10-11).
