WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University women's swimming team earned the Northeast-10 Conference Relay of the Week honor, while
Savina Villani picked up Rookie of the Week, as announced by the NE10 Conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
The grouping of
Elizabeth Galicki,
Savina Villani,
Giulia Faulkner, and
Jenna Swist won the 400-yard Medley Relay with a time of 3:43.95. The quartet won the relay by 15.42 seconds.
Villani won every event that she competed in on Sunday against Stonehill. She won the 50-yard Breaststroke (31.82) and 100-yard IM (1:00.90) and was a part of the Women's 400-yard Medley Relay (3:43.95) and the 400-yard Freestyle Relay (3:47.07). Villani capped off her day by setting the pool record in the 100-yard IM, besting the previous record by two seconds.
