WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University women's swimming team moved up a spot, as they now sit third in the 2023 Northeast-10 Swimming Championships after Day two at WPI Saturday evening.

Sophia Lumino and
Isabella Smith both finished in the top six of the 200-yard IM to begin the second session of Friday's events. Lumino took fourth following her time of 2:10.51, while Smith finished sixth with a time of 2:16.08.
Adelaide Ferrick took second in the 50-yard freestyle, as her time of 24.27 was .06 behind Bentley's Kate Galvin.
Elizabeth Galicki tied for seventh in the "A" Final (24.89), while
Zoe Adams (13
th – 25.20) and
Caroline McKay (15
th – 25.51) finished in the "B" Final.
Lumino, Ferrick, Adams, and Galicki joined forces to win the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:36.49, which was 1.31 seconds faster than the grouping from Bentley.
Maura Gawrys, McKay,
Jenna Swist, and
Aubrey Forman took tenth in the event with their combined time of 1:40.07.
The Greyhounds racked up another podium finish in the 400-yard medley relay, as
Faith Somody, Lumino, Gawrys, and
Erin Tague finished third in the event with a time of 3:59.89. Galicki, Adams, Forman, and Swist took 11
th in the 400 medley, as they tripped the timer at 4:08.55.
