WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University men's lacrosse team has been selected by the league's coaches to finish sixth in the Northeast-10 Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.
Head coach
Guy Bourdon will take the reins for this seventh year at the helm and led the Hounds to a 7-7 overall record and a 4-5 mark in NE10 action. The Hounds finished sixth in the standings last year and would fall to the No. 3-seeded Pace University in the NE10 first round.
The Greyhounds returned four of their program-record seven All-NE10 selections from last year's squad, as
Brady McNulty (All-NE10 Second Team),
Patrik McGrath (All-NE10 Third Team),
Nolan Johnson (NE10 All-Rookie Team), and
James Lopes (NE10 All-Rookie Team) return to the Greyhounds for the spring.
Adelphi tops the preseason poll as the defending National Champions look to repeat as NE10 Champions. Pace finished behind the Panthers, while Saint Anselm rounds out the top three. Bentley, Saint Michael's, Assumption, and Southern New Hampshire finished fourth through seventh, while American International and Franklin Pierce tied to finish eighth in the league.
