WORCESTER, Mass.– The Assumption University women's soccer team saw a pair of freshmen score on Senior Day, as the Greyhounds defeated Pace University 2-0 in Northeast 10 Conference action, Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption struck early, as
Lilina Shiers scored off the feed by
Elizabeth Schoeneberger in the fifth minute of action. The Greyhounds continued to fire away, as they outshot Pace 10-8 in the opening 45 minutes. The Blue and White would double their lead in the 57
th minute, as Shiers found Schoeneberger, who picked up her team-leading seventh goal of the year. The Setters had multiple chances to get on the scoreboard, but Kaylin Herbert was solid in goal for Assumption, and kept the clean sheet.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Kaylin Hebert recorded seven saves for her third shutout of the year.
- Pace outshot Assumption 16-15, while the Setters had four corners to just one for the Greyhounds.
