CANDIA, N.H. – The Assumption University men's golf team sits in third place after the opening round of the 2025 Northeast 10 Conference Championship on Wednesday afternoon at Candia Woods Golf Links. 
 
THE BASICS
Finished 3^rd/7 (+28 | 302/294)

• T- 3^rd: Christopher Stilwell (+3 | 75/70)
• T-11^th: Ethan Beauchemin (+6 | 74/74)
• T-17^th: CJ Strong (+9 | 75/76)
• T-21^st: Lucas Levasseur (+12 | 80/74)
• T-24^th: Ryan Willey (+13 | 78/77)

 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption started strong out of the gate, as they recorded four birdies through the front nine, but were a 6-over par. On the back nine, there were only three sub-par holes, as Lucas Levasseur birdied 10, Christopher Stilwell 17^th, and Ethan Beauchemin 18^th.  
 
On the second round, the scores came down, thanks to CJ Strong and Stilwell carding eagles on the ninth hole. The Greyhounds started to chip away at their deficit as they combined for a +3 and finished two rounds at +28.
