WORCESTER, Mass. – Coming off a season that included a trip to the NE10 Championship Game and a NCAA East Regional appearance, the Assumption University women's basketball team has announced its 2025–26 schedule, highlighted by matchups against five programs that reached last year's
NCAA Tournament.
The Greyhounds finished 19–14 overall (.576) and 9–11 in NE10 play last season, surging through the NE10 tournament before falling in the NE10 title game and later appearing as the No. 6 seed in the NCAA East Regional.
Assumption will open the 2025–26 campaign this Saturday, Nov. 15, against D'Youville University in the St. Thomas Aquinas Tip-Off Classic in Sparkill, N.Y., followed by a matchup with host St. Thomas Aquinas on Sunday. The home opener comes on Tuesday, Nov. 25, when the Greyhounds welcome American International College to Andrew Laska Gymnasium.
Assumption's non-conference slate features a balanced mix of regional and national competition, including trips to No. 22 Holy Family University (Nov. 22) and the University of the District of Columbia (Dec. 21), along with home dates against Dominican (N.Y.) and Mercy University.
The Greyhounds dive into NE10 play in early December, beginning with a road trip to Pace (Dec. 3) and a home matchup with Southern New Hampshire (Dec. 13). Assumption faces a challenging midseason stretch featuring four NCAA Tournament teams from last year — Holy Family, Bentley, Saint Anselm, and Southern Connecticut State — all of whom reached the 2025 NCAA East Regional.
Key home conference dates include Bentley (Jan. 17), Saint Anselm (Feb. 18), and Southern Connecticut (Feb. 10). The Greyhounds close out the regular season on Tuesday, Feb. 24, hosting Pace University in Worcester.
