WORCESTER, Mass. – Assumption University men's lacrosse senior Long-Stock Midfielder
Matthew Doerfler headlines seven selections to the 2025 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-New England Preseason Team, announced Thursday afternoon.

Matthew Doerfler was named to the first team, while
Ryan Bogar,
Colby Leighton,
Patrik McGrath,
Brady McNulty,
Trent Sargent, and
Cameron Theriault were all named to the second team.
Doerfler appeared in 13 games last season where he forced ten turnovers, while adding 25 ground balls to his total.
Ryan Bogar started all 14 games last year, as he recorded 12 goals and nine assists for 21 points, adding two caused turnovers and scooping up eight ground balls.
Colby Leighton started 13 of 14 games in 2024, where he scored one goal and added one assist from the defensive position, while forcing 15 turnovers and picking up 19 groundballs.
Patrik McGrath led the Greyhounds in goals last season, as he recorded 25, while ranking second on the team with 14 assists and 39 points.
Brady McNulty had a career-year in 2024, as he set new personal bests in goals (20), assists (11), points (31), game-winning goals (2), and ground balls (14).
Trent Sargent started in six of the 12 games in which he logged 15 ground balls and nine caused turnovers.
Cameron Theriault started 11 of 13 games last year, totaling 15 goals, five assists, 20 points, and 17 ground balls.
The Greyhounds open the year at home on Wednesday, February 19
th, as they host Post University at 4:00 pm.
