WORCESTER, Mass. — The Assumption University women's basketball team is returning to the NCAA Division II Tournament for the third-straight year, as the Greyhounds will compete in the NCAA Division II East Regional as the No. 6 seed at Dana Center on the campus of Bentley University.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Assumption is heading to the big dance for the third straight season, which is the first time in program history.
- Marina Callahan became just the third Greyhound in program history named to the All-NE10 First Team for back-to-back years (Kelly Meredith: 2010-11, 2011-12), Ann McInerney: 1987-88, 1988-89). On top of the First Team selection, she was named to the All-NE10 Defensive Team for the first time in her career. Callahan established new career highs in points per game (13.6), rebounds (8.3), blocks (62), and steals (50). She is the only player in the conference to be ranked in the top ten in scoring (7th), rebounds (4th), field goal percentage (6th), free throw percentage (6th), blocks (2nd), and steals (10th) while ranking 12th in assists.
- Assumption is coming off a loss in their second Northeast-10 Championship appearance, as the Greyhounds fell to top-seeded Bentley, 64-54.
- The Greyhounds look to return to Elite Eight after reaching it for the first time in program history in 2022-23.
- Assumption is making its tenth appearance in the National Dance and is 7-10 in those games. It has made it to the second round five times (1999-00, 2007-08, 2010-11, 2022-23, 2023-24).

- The first three rounds will begin on Friday, March 14th. The second round will be on Saturday, March 15th, with the East Regional Championship, which will take place on Monday, March 17th.
