WORCESTER, Mass.— The Assumption University Women's Tennis is back in action Friday, September 5, beginning their season with a non-conference match at Division I Holy Cross. The women's team is set to play 14 matches in their fall split, including seven NE10 matches.
The Greyhounds were a dominant force last season, going 14-5 overall and 6-2 in the NE10. Head Coach,
Cris Popa, back for his fourth season, is excited about the upcoming season. Voted third in the NE10 Coaches Poll in the preseason, a strong returning cast of
Laurence Bosmans,
Marie Knispel,
Carolina de Souza, and twin sister
Danielle de Souza all return to anchor the team.
After two away matches to start the season, the Greyhounds will compete on their home court for the first time on Tuesday, September 11, against Gordon College at 3:30 pm.
