BUFFALO, NY– The Assumption University women's soccer team saw a pair of freshmen score, as the Greyhounds defeated D'Youville University 3-0 in non-conference action, Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Freshman
Elizabeth Schoeneberger made an immediate impact, as she scored on the game's first shot in the sixth minute.
Lilina Shiers flicked the ball over the defense to
Rachael Geniuch, who one-touched it to Schoeneberger for the goal. Schoeneberger doubled the lead in the 34
th minute, as
Elle Bristol assisted her for her second goal of the half.
Quincy Thibault put her name in the scorebook in the 71
st minute, as she scored off the cross from
Rose Connolly, securing the 3-0 win for the Blue and White.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Isabella Provost recorded four saves to pick up her first collegiate shutout.
- Assumption outshot D'Youville 18-11, while both sides had one corner apiece.
- The Greyhounds have now recorded four straight shutouts in the regular season, dating back to last season.
