WORCESTER, Mass. – After batting .560 over eight games, Assumption University softball infielder
Maddy Bland was named the Northeast 10 Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Bland was one of the hottest hitters this week, as she batted .560 over eight games with 11 runs scored, one double, two triples, one home run, 12 RBI, and was a perfect 9-for-9 on stolen bases. Against Post and Saint Anselm, she batted .714 with nine RBI and seven runs scored. In Assumption's win at Adelphi, she was a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI in game one.
