LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Assumption University softball team had two players represented on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II All-Region team, headlined by
Maddy Bland, as the Association announced their squads comprise 205 student-athletes from 108 programs on Friday morning.

Bland was named to the First Team, while
Kaitlyn Cahill was selected to the second team.
In 56 games in a Greyhounds uniform this season, Bland leads Assumption with a .395 batting average, 43 runs scored, 62 hits, 13 doubles, eight triples, five home runs, and 37 RBI. The All-Northeast 10 Conference First Team selection also added 37 steals to her resume.
Cahill was named to the All-Region team for the second straight season, as she batted .357 with 61 hits, 13 doubles, four triples, 17 RBI, and 41 stolen bases. Her 42 stolen bases broke her own record for the most steals in program history, while also stealing 109 bases over her career, topping Barbie Barrett '88 record of 81 for the most career steals.
