NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The Assumption University softball team had seven student-athletes recognized on the Northeast 10 all-conference lists, headlined by Maddy Bland, who was named to the All-NE10 First Team, as announced Wednesday morning.
 
Bland was named to the All-NE10 First Team, while Kaitlyn Cahill and Kaelin Waldron earned Second Team honors. Emma Bloom and Kya Birtz made their way on the Third Team, with Bianca Vincequere being named to the All-Defensive Team. Bella Mara was named to the All-Rookie Team. 
 
Bland had a breakout senior season, batting .390 in 51 games with 57 hits, 12 doubles, eight triples, four home runs, 32 RBI, and 37 stolen bases. Her eight triples tied both Amanda Ashe (1997) and Laurie Del Grego (2002) for the program record. 
 
Cahill earned her fourth All-NE10 selection, earning Second Team honors. She batted .372 with 58 hits, 12 doubles, four triples, one home run, 15 RBI, and a program record 40 stolen bases. In 191 career games, she holds the school record with 107 stolen bases. Waldron earned her first All-NE10 honor, as she went 12-11 with two saves in 147.0 innings pitched. She has tied a career-high with 12 wins and three shutouts, while setting new personal bests in innings pitched (147.0) and strikeouts (101). 
 
Bloom had a career year, earning All-NE10 Third Team honors while establishing new career highs in batting average (.344), hits (45), doubles (8), RBI (31), slugging (.420), and stolen bases (9). Birtz also had a career season, going 8-3 in the circle with a 2.24 ERA over 96.2 innings. She struck out 80 batters, while adding six complete games and three shutouts. 
 
In her first year as a full-time starter, Vincequere had ten RBI, while adding 17 stolen bases. Defensively, she had 65 putouts and had one assist in 66 chances in the field.  Players of the Year: Camryn Van Valkenburgh, FPU, and Rose Reitmeyer, STA
