WORCESTER, Mass. – Assumption University head football coach Andy McKenzie has announced the Greyhounds' 2026 schedule, a 10-game slate highlighted by matchups against three teams that qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division II Football Championship.
The season kicks off under the lights on Thursday, Sept. 3, as Assumption hosts Kutztown at Brian Kelly '83 Stadium. The Golden Bears, champions of the PSAC East, advanced to the NCAA Tournament a season ago and will provide an early test for the Greyhounds. Assumption then travels to Frostburg State on Sept. 12 to face the reigning Mountain East Conference champions, who earned the program's first NCAA playoff berth in 2025.
Northeast 10 Conference play begins on Sept. 19 when the Greyhounds welcome Pace to Worcester before traveling to American International the following week. Another marquee matchup awaits on Oct. 3 as Assumption hosts Bentley, marking the third opponent on the schedule that reached last year's NCAA Tournament.
Following a bye week, the Greyhounds travel to Southern Connecticut State on Oct. 17 before visiting Saint Anselm on Oct. 24. Assumption closes its home schedule with consecutive games against Post on Oct. 31 and Franklin Pierce on Nov. 7 before wrapping up the regular season at Pace on Nov. 14.
With five home games at Brian Kelly '83 Stadium and an early-season stretch featuring three NCAA Tournament teams from 2025, the Greyhounds will face one of the region's most competitive schedules as they pursue a return to postseason play.
All game dates and times are subject to change.
